The suspect boarded a bus at Main Street and East Hastings in Vancouver at around 4.25 p.m. on April 15, Metro Vancouver Transit Police said in a news release on Tuesday. Shortly afterwards, two Asian women wearing protective masks had gotten on the bus and sat down. The suspect shouted something to the effect of “Go back to your country; that’s where it all started,” transit police said. Jonathan A. Ferrell, 24, a former Florida A&M University football player, was killed early Saturday. He had sought help at a nearby house, according to a statement from Charlotte-Mecklenburg police. A woman answered the door and, when she didn't recognize the man, called 911. Officers responding to the breaking and entering call found Ferrell nearby. Ferrell ran toward the officers, who tried to stop him with a Taser. Police said he continued to run toward them when officer Randall Kerrick fired his gun, hitting Ferrell several times....
Marco Merino and John Kotchkoski, two cops in the Columbus Police Division’s drug cartel unit, are accused of working together to transport and sell fentanyl as well as cocaine. The two men face up to life sentences, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of Ohio. Possessing with intent to distribute 400 grams or more of fentanyl is punishable by 10 years and up to life in prison....
Last Friday, Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers said it will match a $5,000 reward offered by the Beaver County Detective Bureau and Economy Borough police for information leading to the arrest and conviction of whoever is responsible for leaving the head in the woods. The $10,000 reward is available only for the week of December 11 through 18. The human remains are said to be those of a white woman who was believed to be at least 50 years old....
The video, which was viewed 35,000 times since it was shared on August 19, shows officers speaking with and searching two suspects—identified as John Schneider and Lee Sanberg, both 49—before a bag of what police said was methamphetamine tumbled to the ground. Cassidy’s home, located on the 1100 block of Angmar Court in San Jose, has been under investigation since the 57-year-old committed a mass shooting at the Valley Transportation Authority (VTA) on Wednesday. According to police, Cassidy killed a total of nine people, before turning the gun on himself. San Jose police told KRON-TV that they are now shutting down the area near Cassidy’s home to detonate explosives, the news outlet reported Friday....
