Perak and PKNP FC could face having to find a new home for the rest of the 2017 season following orders to close Perak Stadium. Football Malaysia Limited Liability Partnership (FMLLP) today released a press statement on the closure of Perak Stadium due to poor conditions of the pitch following inspection done on 11 July 2017. This initial closure is for the period of seven days immediately after the completion of the PKNP v Johor Darul Ta’zim II Premier League match on Friday 14 July 2017 and will end before the next Super League match between Perak and Felda United scheduled to be played on 22 July 2017....

Credit Suisse, an investment bank and financial services company, found the number of millionaires grew by 5.2 million in its annual Global Wealth Report. The United States had nearly a third of the world’s new millionaires last year, adding 1.7 million to the country’s total. Germany ranked second, adding 633,000 millionaires. Australia and Japan trailed behind, adding 392,000 and 390,000, respectively. In total, Credit Suisse found there were 56.1 million millionaires worldwide by the end of the last year....

Their petition was filed in Shelby County Criminal Court on Wednesday—a day after Republican Gov. Bill Lee signed bipartisan legislation, inspired by Payne’s case, that makes retroactive a Tennessee law that prevents death row inmates with an intellectual disability from being executed. The Supreme Court ruled such executions unconstitutional in 2002, finding that they violate the Eighth Amendment’s ban on cruel and unusual punishment. PETA sent a letter on Oct. 23 to DeSoto Animal Control to “immediately investigate the possible illegal possession of an infant capuchin monkey” by Bryant. Bryant owns a home in DeSoto, Texas. The U.S.-based animal rights organization recently sent a letter to China’s Institute for Traffic Medicine and Daping Hospital that conducted the experiments, urging them “to stop using animals for barbaric and deadly car crash tests.” The letter stated that using animals for car crash tests is “antiquated,” “unscientific” and “unnecessary.” “There is no justifiable reason to use animals for car crash tests. We urge you to stop this barbaric and outdated practice, in favor of humane and modern non-animal methods,” PETA said....
