Officers arrived at the Willow Apartments on the 400 block of Springfield Road in Clifton Heights around 4:15 a.m. on Friday morning, and found the man in the process of decapitating a woman, ABC6 reported. The man was using a machete, law enforcement sources told Fox 29. Police said the woman was the suspect’s girlfriend and the pair had been fighting before the woman was attacked. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene....

Police are still investigating the death of Albie Speakman, 3, who died after he was hit by the farm vehicle in Bury, a town near Manchester, England, on July 16. Rochdale Coroner’s Court heard on August 2, that he was with his father Neil Speakman when the tragedy happened. It was confirmed that a postmortem investigation revealed that Albie died of a head injury. The type of vehicle was not mentioned during the brief hearing, but police have previously confirmed it was a tractor....

The National Commission on COVID-19 and Criminal Justice (NCCCJ) released the report on Monday, which found that homicide rates across the nation were 30 percent higher from 2019 to 2020.
