The numbers drawn Saturday night were 14, 22, 42, 46 and 52 for the white balls, while the red Powerball was 24 and the Power Play was 3x. The numbers drawn last Wednesday night were 32, 36, 49, 62 and 69 for the white balls, while the yellow Mega Ball was 13 and the Megaplier was 2x. There was no grand prize winner on Wednesday, but four ticket holders picked the numbers on four white balls plus the Powerball, for which each won $50,000....

Nobody won the grand prize, so the jackpot will roll over and be worth an estimated $192 million with a cash value of $149 million, in the next drawing on Saturday, November 21. Nobody matched five numbers to win $1 million, but eight players matched four numbers and the Powerball and won $50,000 each. One of these winners won $100,000 by using the Power Play, which was 2X in last night’s draw....

But no one claimed the jackpot in the February 15 draw, so it carries over to the next drawing on February 20, when the estimated jackpot will be $50 million with a cash value of $35.4 million. Although no one won the jackpot in Saturday night’s draw, there were several big winners. Eleven people correctly guessed four numbers and the Powerball to win $50,000. Three of those players tripled their winnings to $150,000 with a Power Play purchase....

Nobody matched five numbers and the Powerball to win the jackpot, so the grand prize has rolled over and is now worth an estimated $130 million with a cash option of $101.1 million for the next drawing on March 19. One person won the $1 million prize by matching five numbers, and 14 people won $50,000 by matching four numbers and the Powerball. Eight of these winners used the Power Play to triple their prizes to $150,000 each....

Nobody won the Powerball jackpot last night, so the grand prize will roll over to Saturday night’s draw where it will be worth an estimated $68 million with a cash option of $55.6 million. However, one player from Minnesota matched five numbers to win $1 million and one player from New Jersey matched five numbers using the Power Play and won $2 million. Eight players matched four numbers and the Power Ball and won $50,000 each and one player used the Power Play so won $200,000....

But no one has claimed the $137 million jackpot for the August 1 draw, according to the Powerball website, sos it will now roll over to the next drawing on Thursday August 6. The estimated jackpot then will be $147 million (with a cash value of $121.2 million). Although no-one claimed the top prize, there were some big winners from Saturday night’s drawing. Three players, from California, Illinois and Oregon, matched all five white balls correctly to win $1 million, according to the Powerball website....

The Washington congresswoman’s comments followed calls from Democrats for Rep. Chip Roy of Texas to resign after he invoked lynching during a House committee hearing on the rise in hate crimes against Asians. Just two days after the murder of eight people in Georgia, including six Asian women, Roy spoke about rounding up bad guys and told the hearing: “There’s old sayings in Texas about ‘Find all the rope in Texas and get a tall oak tree....

On one hand, it’s been so long since his last debate that some are expecting him to tank. The U.S. Senate adopted a broad $3.5 trillion budget blueprint this week—kickstarting work to more clearly define which programs will be funded and at what level, but Democrats already have charted a path to include major new programs, without support from their Republican colleagues. “Today we move this country in a very different direction,” U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders, a Vermont independent who caucuses with Democrats and chairs the Senate Budget Committee, said on the Senate floor....

Baffert’s spring odyssey is a stark reminder of just how difficult it is for a trainer to get to these races, let alone win them. He had 18 horses nominated to the Triple Crown, and while not all of those horses looked like legitimate Derby prospects, horses like Indianapolis and Midnight Hawk were on everyone’s shortlist early in the year. Todd Pletcher had the most nominations to the Triple Crown, 41, ended up with four runners in the Derby, did not win, and has no representatives in the Preakness....

The Preakness draw means less than the Kentucky Derby’s because of the field size. With only about a half-dozen horses set to run in Pimlico’s signature race Saturday, compared to 19 at this year’s Derby, there won’t be as much crowding out of the gate.
