German police say they believe Madeleine is dead and are appealing for information regarding the suspect. Officers with the Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) arrested a 17-year-old student of Magruder High School in Rockville following a Friday shooting at the school. A male student was shot in a bathroom. Neither the suspect’s nor victim’s names have been publicly released. School security forces became aware of the shooting at approximately 12:53 p.m., the MCPD said in a press statement. Someone from the school contacted police via 911 about four minutes later....

Officer Kayla Walker hit out at her employers at the Richardson Police Department last month, and accused them of illegally forcing quotas on its employees. According to The Dallas Morning News, Walker told Richardson City Council: “The Richardson Police Department has been illegally using quotas to evaluate and discipline patrol officers for not writing enough tickets, arresting enough people, or making enough citizen arrests.” She claimed that the police department had been using quotas for decades and that she was speaking on behalf of her fellow officers....
