Kern County (Calif.) District Attorney Andrea Bridges told USA Today her office would not seek capital punishment for the murder of 37-year-old Damion Soward, Phillips’ former cellmate. Phillips will be arraigned on murder charges on Sept. 15. Phillips is expected to plead not guilty to murder. The Kern County DA’s office told USA Today Phillips would not face death because there were no “special circumstances’’ — such as multiple murders, murdering during a robbery and murder with a prior conviction of murder — that allows a California prosecutor to pursue the death penalty....

Videos are circulating on TikTok showing people applying blobs of sunblock across their midriff, mimicking muscle definition.
