Now you may be wondering what the two matters have in common.
Carroll accepted the challenge, thanks to NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and the Seahawks coach then challenged the other head coaches of the NFC West.
Arizona’s Bruce Arians and St. Louis’ Jeff Fisher have obliged, but San Francisco’s Harbaugh apparently has not. Carroll was quick to point that out Thursday.
That’s cold … pun intended.
UPDATE: Harbaugh reportedly accepted the challenge Friday, but it wasn’t Carroll’s challenge. The 49ers coach was challenged by his brother, Ravens coach John Harbaugh, beforehand, and was just “late to the internet party.”
“Got another challenge with him,” Jim Harbaugh told The Sacramento Bee regarding Carroll. “I think you know what that one is — the big one.”
