Carroll, however, refutes the notion he’d make a return to the Trojans.

“I love USC. It’s a great place," he said during his regular Monday news conference. “Flattered? I appreciate it Dan, but that’s not happening. We’re in good shape here.”
Carroll won two national titles at Southern Cal during his tenure from 2000-09 and posted an 83-18 overall record. He left for the NFL amid NCAA allegations that ultimately resulted in a postseason ban, lost scholarships and the vacating of USC’s 2004 national title.
Carroll has been the Seahwaks head coach since 2010 and is 50-31 overall with two Super Bowl appearances and one title.
