“He needs to come back in,” coach Pete Carroll told reporters Wednesday. “We need to get him in.”

“I’m just disappointed — like I know he is and everybody is — that it hasn’t found a way to get him here. That’s all.”
Chancellor likely won’t return to the team this week, meaning he’ll forfeit a second game check of $267,647. Rookie Dion Bailey will start against the Packers and MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
“Can’t coach the guy that’s not here,” Carroll said. “Can’t do anything about it.”
Chancellor, a three-time Pro Bowler in five pro seasons, is holding out for a new contract even though he’s already one of the NFL’s highest-paid safeties. Chancellor is in the second year of a four-year, $28 million contract.
Teammate Earl Thomas is the league’s highest-paid safety and Chancellor would like to get the same $10 million per season that Thomas receives.
Chancellor’s demand comes after the team gave big-money deals to linebacker Bobby Wagner and quarterback Russell Wilson.
