Pete Rose Sends Donald Trump Autographed Baseball With His Endorsement

Sunday, he unveiled his latest endorsement — one from controversial baseball legend Pete Rose.

Trump can prove it, too, proudly tweeting a picture Sunday of an autographed baseball he says baseball’s all-time hits leader sent him.

The handwritten text reads:

Mr. Trump

Please make America great again.

Pete Rose

Perhaps the endorsement may swing some voters in Ohio, where Rose starred for years with the Reds. The state has its primary Tuesday. So even though Rose, who’s permanently banned from baseball for betting on games, is ineligible for the Hall of Fame, maybe Trump will invite him to the White House if he’s elected. Or at least to a Trump resort.

The tweet drew some predictably ugly responses on Twitter.
