Woods has won four times at the PGA Championship, one shy of the record held by Jack Nicklaus. His most recent triumph came in 2007. He finished in second place last year, two strokes behind winner Brooks Koepka, which was his first top 10 in the event since 2009. This will be Woods’ first tournament since his victory at Augusta.

If you’re thinking that it’s too early in the year for the PGA Championship to be played, you’re probably not alone. The tournament was moved from August to the weekend before Memorial Day in May beginning this year — a move designed to fill the long wait between the Masters and the U.S. Open.
This will be the first time the PGA Championship will be held at Bethpage Black, which has hosted the U.S. Open twice in the past. Woods won at the course in 2002.
While his chances at winning a second-straight major have increased since his Masters victory, Woods will have to surge above a crowded field that includes defending champion Koepka, two-time winner Rory McIlroy and Dustin Johnson, the No. 1 golfer in the world.
Here is everything to know about the 2019 PGA Championship, including the TV schedule, round-by-round tee times for Tiger Woods and the field, plus updated betting odds . You can also follow our live leaderboard for hole-by-hole updates.

Who else is in the PGA Championship field?
Like the typical major, there is no shortage of big names in the PGA Championship field. Outside of Woods and previous winners Koepka, McIlroy and Justin Thomas, the top-10 ranked Justin Rose, Bryson DeChambeau, Xander Schauffele and Francesco Molinari.
There will also be those competing who won the tournament 10-plus years ago, including Y.E. Yang, Shaun Micheel, Vijay Singh and Padraig Harrington.

PGA Championship purse, winnings
The PGA Championship’s purse has yet to be announced, although it will likely be the same or more than the $11 million total in 2018. Koepka’s winners share last year was $1,980,000. The Masters’ purse this year was $11.5 million after being at $11 million the previous year, so it’s possible the PGA Championship will see the same increase.

PGA Championship past winners
Since it became a stroke play event in 1958, no golfer has won the PGA Championship more times than Nicklaus, who has five victories. Woods has the opportunity to tie that total this year.
McIlroy is the most recent golfer to win the tournament for a second time, a feat he accomplished in 2014.
