So when PGA Tour pro Mark Hubbard finished up his first round of the Pebble Beach Pro-Am on Thursday, he made the most of the moment, getting down on one knee and proposing to longtime girlfriend Meghan McCurley.

Hubbard didn’t really have the whole thing planned out, according to ASAP Sports. “I wasn’t thinking about it until I ran my putt about two feet by and I was like, man, it would really suck to three‑putt right now, don’t do this,” he said. “So I was pretty glad I made that second one.”
She said yes and he avoided the three-putt, so all was well.
