Morgan, a well-known broadcaster who hosts Piers Morgan Uncensored on Fox Nation, spoke with host Ainsley Earhardt about a report that an image in the trailer for the upcoming Netflix documentary Harry & Meghan allegedly uses a stock picture taken from a Harry Potter movie premiere.

The image, which shows a group of photographers, was allegedly taken before the couple met.

“This Harry Potter thing actually goes to the heart of where I think the problem lies with these two—emphasis on the word ’lies.’ They just made this up,” Morgan said.

Morgan became more heated when he turned the discussion to Harry’s mother, the late Princess Diana.

“They use a lot of imagery of Princess Diana on what she had to go through and paparazzi. Let me tell you, I knew Diana well. I used to speak to her regularly, used to have lunch with her. She had 10 times the paparazzi attention that Meghan Markle has ever had,” he said.

Morgan continued, “Her [Markle’s] attempt to put herself on the same pedestal as the most famous and pursued royal in history, I think is frankly disgraceful.”

Morgan is known for being a vocal critic of Harry and Meghan, especially after the couple sat for an interview with Oprah Winfrey in 2021. That talk occurred after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced in 2020 that they were stepping down as working members of the royal family.

They discussed their reasons for leaving their duties to Winfrey and made claims of racism in Buckingham Palace. Morgan later disputed the veracity of Markle’s statements about racism.

“You may remember in the Oprah Winfrey whine-a-thon, about 17 different things that came out of their mouths were quickly proven to be untrue. And we’re at it again with a Netflix documentary,” Morgan said to Earhardt.

During the Fox & Friends appearance, Morgan also brought up how he is in the trailer for the documentary.

“They actually use my voice at the start of it in which I call Meghan ‘a rock star.’ I’d certainly have other phrases for her now,” he said.

Along with that comment, the Fox Nation host used his Twitter account to share his displeasure with being featured in the trailer.

Speaking to Earhardt, Morgan didn’t hold back in his criticism of the couple and their upcoming documentary, the first episodes of which premiere on Thursday.

“They’re using everything they can to cynically manipulate a narrative that they are these two downtrodden, oppressed people, utter victims, when in fact what they did was quit royal duty, quit Britain, have gone to California, live in a big mansion and spend their entire time trashing the royal family and the monarchy, which is the very institution where their titles come from that they ruthlessly exploit for hundreds of millions of dollars,” Morgan said.

He added, “It is honestly sick making, and the anger in Britain right now is building about this Netflix series.”
