The Daily Mail journalist tweeted, “Hard-left millennials like @chrissyteigen preach ’tolerance, empathy & compassion’ - unless you disagree with them. Then they spew foul-mouthed abuse & try to destroy you. My column on this SoulCycle ‘scandal.’”
Teigan original tweeted on Wednesday, “the gym is my personal hell but if you’re a member of Equinox perhaps it is time to say peace(out).” The tweet came in support of comedian Billy Eichner who also tweeted on Wednesday, “Hey@Equinox- what’s your policy for canceling memberships once a member finds out your owner is enabling racism and mass murder?”
Teigen added: “Oh and f— soulcycle but I thought that way before this anyhow.”
Morgan responded to this in his column. He referred to her as “the world’s most annoying woman” and said “her hypocritical virtue-signaling celebrity mates are more intolerantly fascist than Trump ever is (but thank God I’ll never have to bump into her at SoulCycle).”
He goes on to condemn her boycott as pointless:
“Billionaire U.S. tycoon Stephen Ross, whose many companies include Equinox and SoulCycle, is throwing a party today at his home in the Hamptons to raise money for Trump, a friend of more than 40 years. That, last time I checked, is perfectly legal and something that thousands of other businessmen and women have done over the years for both Republican and Democrat politicians. But Ms Teigen is not happy.”
Although Teigen has yet to respond to this excessive criticism and personal attack from Morgan, this is certainly not the beginning of their feud.
The public brawl began in 2016 when Chrissy’s husband, singer John Legend, suggested Piers quit his public roles. Legend hit out after Piers made remarks about Muhammad Ali being more racist than Donald Trump.
“.@piersmorgan you could test us by announcing your retirement,” Legend tweeted in June 2016. Teigen continued to gang up on him tweeting, “From what? trolling isn’t a job (I’ve tried),” which received almost 6 thousand likes.
Piers hit back, taking aim at Chrissy’s career. “Maybe I should take up a proper job, like modelling,” he wrote. Having none of it, she responded, “It keeps me nice and not-racist so sure, give it a go.”
The feud went on and on, and it seems this new column is just the latest in the on-going battle between the two public internet figures on opposite ends of the political spectrum.
