A source told ESPN MLB Insider Jim Bowden that the agreement with the power-hitting infielder is a done deal pending a physical. Pittsburgh closed the deal within its 30-day window after securing negotiating rights on Dec. 22.
Kang, 27, also has an option for a fifth year.
Kang impressively hit .356 with 40 home runs and 117 RBIs in 117 games and 501 plate appearances for the Nexen Heroes of the Korean Baseball Organization.
