Shuhei Yoshida, head of PlayStation Indies, wrote on the official PlayStation blog Wednesday that since his appointment last November, he is working to bring more independent titles to Sony’s gaming consoles.

“I’m pleased to formally announce the PlayStation Indies initiative,” Yoshida wrote. “With PlayStation Indies, we hope to spotlight and support the best of the best indie games being published on PlayStation and the entire indie community as a whole. Our goal is to make PlayStation the best place to develop, find, and play great indie games.”

Following this announcement, PlayStation took the bulk of Wednesday to announce the new independent games coming to the PS4 and the upcoming PS5.

Here’s the nine independent games coming to PlayStation’s consoles including a synopsis and trailers. This story is still developing.
