Montreal has quickly become one the favorite tour stops for the pros on the circuit. The hospitality of the Playground Poker Club combined with the Montreal nightlife has quickly attracted some of the game’s best including Antonio Esfandiari, Freddy Deeb, recent November Niner Tom Cannuli, Mike Sexton and Jeff Gross, who are all scheduled to enter this year’s event:

Lasy year’s event attracted a total of 732 players as Jonathan Jaffe (GPI No. 1000) won the first place prize of over 464K Canadian dollars at a final table that included 2014 WPT Player of the Year Mukul Pahuja (GPI No. 28), who made back-to-back WPT Montreal finals, and now two-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Kevin MacPhee (GPI No. 9).
Another bracelet winner, Phillip Hui (GPI No. 223) and famous French-Canadian star player Marc-Andre Ladouceur (GPI No. 343) would each earn Top 10 results.
The battle began just a few minutes ago and the final table is set for next Thursday.
