Sherwood police (Oregon) said Tuesday that they’ve been investigating Bacon since March 22 and that an officer noticed him yelling at a woman as he was driving.
Per OregonLive:
He wasn’t arrested at the time, but he was indicted on one count of criminal impersonation on Tuesday. The cops determined he did hold a position at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department, but they seemed to be unsure of what he actually did.
The officer identified the man as Bacon and discovered that the Charger was a rental car with no emergency equipment, Daniel said. Bacon told the officer that he had pulled the woman over because she was speeding and driving recklessly.

“He’s definitely not a cop,” Sherwood police spokesman Mark Daniel said, via the Sherwood Gazette. “He’s not old enough to be a police officer.”
Bacon appeared to respond to the arrest on Twitter before making his account private, writing, “[Two] sides to every story. Don’t believe what you hear.”
The impersonation of a cop is just the latest in a strange series of events for Bacon over the past year. He left the Boise State football team right before a Sept. 25 game at Virginia and then sold his Fiesta Bowl ring in December.
He signed with Portland State in February as a transfer.
