A key to the Musketeers’ drive to the NCAA Tournament Sweet 16, Reynolds scored 21 points in and grabbed six rebounds in the team’s victory over Georgia State in a round of 32 game Saturday.

At a planned pre-NCAA Tournament news conference, Mack acknowledged there was an incident reported to Xavier officials. Following a preliminary investigation, Mack said, “There has been no status change with the students involved.” He said there would be a four- or five-week investigation to determine what occurred. Mack did not identify the nature of the incident in question.

“Jalen will be traveling with the team,” Mack said. “Jalen will be playing.”

The Musketeers, seeded No. 6 in the West, own a 23-13 record.

Reynolds averages 9.9 points and is second on the team with an average of 6.2 rebounds. He is 6-9, 222 pounds and came to Xavier from Detroit.
