Saturday (June 5) night’s winning numbers were: 44, 52, 54, 64, and 69. The Powerball was 26 and the Power Play was X3.

The lucky winner beat odds of 1 in 292,201,338 to win the top prize and can now choose whether to take their prize as an annuity or for significantly less, a lump-sum payment.

If you are the jackpot winner (congratulations!!!), you should call lottery officials at 1-800-222-0996.

The latest big win means the prize fund starts over once again, with an estimated jackpot of $20 million (with a cash value of $13.8 million) for the next drawing.

It was on March 27 that a player last matched all five numbers plus the Powerball. That player from Florida scooped $238 million.

In the latest draw, one player matched five numbers without the Powerball. They had a Power Play, but their winnings were capped at $2 million.

Another 18 matched four numbers plus the Powerball to $50,000, while five other players did so with a Power Play, tripling their prize to $150,000.

Meanwhile, 404 players matched four balls without the Powerball to win $100; 104 did so with a Power Play to win $300.

Each ticket has the same chance of winning. There is a 1 in 24.9 chance of winning any prize, according to Powerball’s official website.

How do you play Powerball?

Each ticket costs $2 per play, with players selecting five numbers from 1 to 69, in addition to one red Powerball number from 1 to 26. In certain circumstances, players can also multiply non-jackpot prizes by using the Power Play option for an additional $1.

Drawings usually take place twice a week on a Wednesday and Saturday night, at 10:59 p.m. ET. Each draw is broadcast live from the lottery studio which is located in Tallahassee, Florida.
