The Preakness Stakes is a 1-3/16 mile, Grade I stakes race for 3-year-old horses with a $1.5 million purse run on dirt. It’s the second jewel of American horse racing’s Triple Crown, held two weeks after the Kentucky Derby and three weeks prior to the Belmont Stakes. Nyquist was the odds-on favorite in the 2016 Preakness at 3-to-5, and Exaggerator was 3-to-1. We had Exaggerator in our Preakness picks.
