Police say the drive-by was a random retaliation and the second of three gang-related shootings in the Knoxville, Tenn., area in a seven-hour span.

“Unfortunately, they picked a random group of young men and women who were just hanging out and trying to prepare to celebrate the holiday,” Knoxville police Chief David Rausch said in a news conference Friday.
Fulton football coach Rob Black met with the football team Friday to talk about Dobson’s death.
“Only a sophomore, but a very contagious young man very well liked by his team and teachers,” Black said, via the Knoxville News Sentinel.
