My musings on ownership themes for NFL Week 13, specifically games on the DraftKings Sunday featured slate.
Week 13 Rankings:Quarterback | Running Back | Wide Receiver | Tight End | D/ST | Kicker
NFL Week 13 DFS Ownership: Quarterback
Cam Newton ($6,600) and Patrick Mahomes II ($7,600) figure to pace ownership at a quarterback position that should be relatively flat in distribution. KC gets the highest implied total on the slate by a significant margin, though Newton could potentially draw more shares due to lower cost and trip to fantasy gold mine Tampa.
Matt Ryan ($5,600) should get the fade against the Ravens No. 1 pass D by various metrics even though Atlanta’s ceiling at home in the dome remains interesting. … Andrew Luck ($5,800) could also head for contrarian stud status in visiting a formerly great Jags defense.

NFL Week 13 DFS Ownership: Running Back
UFCollective projects a flock to pay up for the two premiums, Todd Gurley ($9,300) and Christian McCaffrey ($8,800). They may well pull ahead of the pack and into the chalk — except now I’ll update with Spencer Ware ($4,000) shares likely going through the roof — while Gurley faces the No. 1 per-carry defense over the past three games and CMC just saw a $900 price bump.
Carlos Hyde ($3,300) presents an interesting case study for a dirt-cheap player in an offense where everyone’s struggled to run this year. Leonard Fournette (suspended) has only averaged 3.5 per carry on the season. But at Hyde’s price, double-digit roster rate could be in the cards. … Nick Chubb ($7,000) smashed again but now sees a $700 bump and a tough run D, which could push people away.
NFL Week 13 DFS Ownership: Wide Receiver
With Sammy Watkins injured for a matchup with the bottom per-attempt pass defense, the stars align for Tyreek Hill ($9,100) to be the chalk play at WR despite the highest WR cost by $900. UFCollective projects him high up along with Robert Woods ($6,900) and others in their range … People will also count on the DeAndre Hopkins ($8,200) rebound spot, though he could also avoid the chalkiest tiers.
Lack of pass volume will keep the masses off Seattle pass catchers, but Tyler Lockett ($5,800) and David Moore ($4,300) make for interesting less-rostered swings. Of receivers with more than 30 targets, Moore ranks sixth in average depth of target and fellow deep-threat Lockett ranks fourth in touchdowns.

NFL Week 13 DFS Ownership: Tight End
Eric Ebron ($4,200) seemed like he would glide past quarter-owned and until mid-week injury concerns threw more uncertainty into the mix. If there’s good news on his health heading into Sunday morning, you can probably book him for double-digit owned at least. … Travis Kelce ($7,000) should be his typical chalky self even when priced way above the field.
Kyle Rudolph ($3,600) had a very quiet season until a recent uptick. Over the past two weeks, Rudolph ranks fourth in air yards among TEs on this slate, becomes a viable punt if you’re chancing it with an Ebron/Kelce/Gronk fade.
